NATO shoots down Iranian ballistic missile flying towards Turkey

NATO air and missile defense assets deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean have intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile that was detected heading towards Turkish airspace after it was launched from Iran and passed through Iraqi and Syrian airspace, the Turkish Defense Ministry said in a publication in Ex.

Fragments from the intercepted munition fell in the area of the town of Dortyol in Turkey's Hatay province. There are currently no reports of casualties or injuries as a result of the incident.
