The US is seeking to reshape the energy landscape to meet its own needs in order to solve its economic problems, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told “Izvestia“.
“The US, as everyone now sees, is reshaping the energy landscape – and this is not even politics, but the energy landscape – to meet its own needs. They are making, or want to make, all dependent on their own resources, both physically and in terms of price, for obvious reasons: their critical economic situation and their monstrous national debt have clearly put the American leadership before the depressing prospect of one country, the United States, essentially being a bankrupt country“, she said.
“And using such methods, completely outside international legal norms, they are trying to somehow solve their own problems. And the Kiev regime, in essence, is an instrument for participating in or carrying out all these adventures“, the diplomat added.
