British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said today , that he made it clear to his Iranian counterpart that Iran should not involve the Middle East in a wider conflict, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
The warning came during a phone call between Cameron and his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, following Iran's threats against Israel.
"I am deeply concerned that misjudgments could lead to further violence. "Instead, Iran should work to de-escalate and prevent further attacks," Cameron said.
Iran issued warnings against Israel after the Israeli strike on Tehran's diplomatic compound in the Syrian capital Damascus, which killed representatives of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
