In the sphere of other priorities such as air defense and aircraft, our possibilities are very limited, but if we want to strengthen our cooperation with NATO partners, we could also provide this type of support, said Shalamanov.
The important thing is that if we provide a greater financial resource, the rearmament of our army can go at a greater pace, he added.
The biggest guarantee of our security is membership in NATO. The main tool to change the thinking in the Kremlin is to convince Russia that it cannot win this war and another solution must be sought, and such a solution is peaceful Zelensky's plan, which includes the restoration of Ukrainian territories, the withdrawal of Russian troops and a fair trial. This is an existing plan. Against this plan is Moscow's idea that Ukraine should not exist as a country and it should be destroyed, the former defense minister pointed out.
With a meter-by-meter push, we can get to a point where Ukraine regains its territorial integrity. We have clarity on what we need to do, we just need to do it at a greater pace and scope. We must show that our support for Ukraine is unconditional. No one threatens Russia, it just needs to return to its borders, Velizar Shalamanov also said.
