One person was killed and four others were wounded in Russian attacks in the northeastern region of Kharkiv in Ukraine on Wednesday, local authorities reported, quoted by "Reuters", quoted by News.bg.
In the small village of Borova, the violence is particularly brutal. Kharkiv district prosecutors revealed that the attack killed one person and injured two others. As a result of the attack, 10 houses, some shops and an administrative building were damaged.
Another village, Ruska Lozova, faced an ordeal in the early hours, with two people injured due to hits from two S-400 missiles. The prosecutor's office shared this preliminary information, highlighting the continued danger to civilians in these areas.
Russia has repeatedly denied attacking civilians since it launched a full-scale invasion of its neighbor in February 2022. That position remains unchanged even as evidence of such attacks mounts.
Regional governor Oleg Sinegubov noted an increase in attacks near Borova in June. He explained that Russian forces are not only targeting logistics, but are also testing Ukraine's defenses, looking for vulnerabilities.
