Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Ryabkov said that Russia will develop a military response to the threat related to the Pentagon's plans to deploy long-range missiles in Germany, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.

"Without nerves, without emotions, we will first of all develop a military response to the new threat," said the senior diplomat in response to a related question.

According to Ryabkov, the Pentagon's plans to deploy long-range missiles in Germany are aimed at harming Russia's security.

"These actions are primarily aimed at harming the security of our country"

The United States and Germany said in a joint statement yesterday that they will begin deploying long-range ballistic missiles to Germany in 2026 to demonstrate their commitment to NATO and European defense, Reuters reported.

The deployment of American cruise missiles "Tomahawk" in Germany aims to strengthen NATO's military deterrence in Europe, the DPA communique quotes.

In addition to the Tomahawk, long-range missiles include the SM-6 and hypersonic weapons in development, which have a longer range than missiles currently deployed in Europe, German media noted.
