Shiite armed units belonging to the Islamic Resistance Movement of Iraq fired at a US military base near the Koniko gas field in Syria's Deir ez-Zor province, Sham FM reported.
They fired six missiles at the American military site.
Eyewitnesses reported explosions that erupted on its territory. No other details were provided.
The radio station notes that in the last 48 hours this is the third attack against US military bases in eastern Syria.
Since the start of the military escalation in the Middle East in October 2023, there have been over 190 attacks against US targets in the region. Shiite militants said they carried out the operations "in response to aggression unleashed against Palestinians by the US-backed Israeli occupation regime."
