Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv today hit a residential area and injured at least 13 people, local officials said, Reuters reported, citing BTA.
Regional governor Oleg Sinegubov said on television that four guided bombs hit garages near residential buildings. Mayor Igor Terekhov added that a private house and a sports facility were damaged.
A 60-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man are in critical condition, Sinegubov said.
The number of strikes in Ukraine's second-largest city and surrounding regions appears to have decreased after Kiev launched a major operation in Russia's Kursk region on August 6, Reuters noted.
But in recent days, Russian troops have been shelling Kharkiv again.
On Friday, an apartment building was struck, killing seven people and injuring 97 others. On Sunday, at least 50 people were injured after Russian missiles hit a shopping mall and entertainment complex.
