Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba resigned today amid the most sweeping changes in the Ukrainian government since the beginning of the Russian invasion, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

More resignations and appointments are expected in the next few days after five ministers resigned from the cabinet yesterday. The chairman of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada and a close ally of President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ruslan Stefanchuk, described these events as the biggest "reboot" in the government before winter sets in.

Stefanchuk published Kuleba's letter of resignation on "Facebook" and announced that the deputies will soon consider it. Parliament is expected to vote on the resignations later today, which will be a mere formality.

Zelensky said the government changes, which come at a crucial time in the 30-month-long war, are necessary to strengthen and achieve the results Ukraine is after.

"The fall will be extremely important. Our state institutions must be structured in such a way that Ukraine can achieve all the necessary results," the Ukrainian president said yesterday.

Russian forces are advancing in eastern Ukraine, and Ukrainian troops launched a surprise offensive in Russia's Kursk region, prompting Moscow to step up drone and missile attacks in recent weeks.

David Arahamiya, an influential MP from Zelensky's Servant of the People party, said that there will be major changes in the government, and as a result more than half of the ministers will be replaced.
