"First, there must be an unconditional 30-day ceasefire, and then peace talks can begin, said US President Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg. He made this statement on the social network X in response to Russian President Vladimir Putin's offer for talks in Istanbul on May 15.
Kellogg commented on a post on social networks by New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Lacson that peace in Ukraine should start with a 30-day ceasefire.
"Even the Prime Minister of New Zealand understands this. As President Trump has said repeatedly, stop the killing! First, an unconditional 30-day ceasefire, and then move into comprehensive peace talks. Not the other way around," Kellogg stressed.
