Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Azerbaijan today on the occasion of the country's Independence Day. This was reported by the Anadolu Agency, citing the head of the Turkish Presidency's Communications Directorate, Fahrettin Altun, BTA reports.
During the visit, Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev are expected to discuss bilateral relations, as well as regional and global developments, Altun said in a post on the social network X.
The visit will also include the second summit between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Pakistan, which will be attended by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Turkish president will participate in a cultural event dedicated to Azerbaijan's Independence Day, as well as in the opening ceremony of the new international airport in the city of Lachin.
