Iran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that it plans to open a new uranium enrichment facility in response to a resolution adopted earlier today by the supervisory body's board of directors, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA

The IAEA announced that Tehran is violating its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

The step by Iran is one of several measures taken in response to the resolution, Iranian state television reported.

An IAEA official, for his part, said that Tehran did not give details about the location of the planned new facility.
