The second black box of the Air India Boeing 787-8, which crashed in the city of Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat, which according to the latest data killed 279 people, has been found at the crash site, the Indian television channel NDTV reported.
„The most important news, of course, is that the „black box“ (an electronic digital device that records data about the flight of the plane and the operation of its systems) has been found at the crash site. Now we will all soon find out what exactly happened to the plane, why it crashed“, the channel's commentators reported in a press release, specifying that the device was found on Saturday evening.
The first of the two „black boxes“ was discovered on Friday. It contains a cockpit voice recorder, which automatically records the sounds of speech, including conversations between the crew and the ground and the exchange of phrases between crew members in the cockpit.
Specialists from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of India and the Indian Air Accident Investigation Branch are already working at the crash site, NDTV reported.
