China's Foreign Ministry today categorically rejected allegations that Beijing is supplying weapons to participants in the war in Ukraine and accused NATO officials of slandering the country's "normal military buildup". This was reported by the "Reuters" agency, BTA reports.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun made the statement during a regular press conference, commenting on the statement of the new NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. According to Rutte, China is undertaking "massive military buildup" and supports military operations in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, citing South Korean intelligence, lawmakers in Seoul reported that North Korea could send more troops to Russia in July or August to join the fighting against Ukraine. According to them, Pyongyang continues to supply weapons to Moscow.
