South Korean companies Samsung Group, SK Group and Hyundai Motor Group intend to hire tens of thousands of workers in the coming years to address the problem of low employment among Korean youth, Bloomberg reported.
Samsung Group will hire 60,000 workers within 5 years. SK Group will hire 8,000 people, including 4,000 who have already been hired in the first half of 2025. Hyundai Motor Group plans to hire 7,200 specialists this year and 10,000 next year.
It is noted that South Korean President Lee Jae-myung said this week that youth employment has been declining for more than a year. The Korean leader called on businesses to pay special attention to youth employment.
