The price of Bitcoin will rise to $1 million, predicts the co-founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov, who specifies that he has believed in the cryptocurrency almost since its inception. He expressed this opinion in an interview with American journalist Lex Friedman.
„I have been a strong believer in Bitcoin almost since its inception. I bought my first few thousand Bitcoins in 2013 and I wasn't too worried. I bought them, I think, at a price of about $700 per Bitcoin. I just threw a few million in there,” Durov noted.
The co-founder of the messenger also added that when Bitcoin saw a sharp decline the following year, many people began to sympathize with him.
Durov also explained that he was able to finance his lifestyle through investments in Bitcoin. “Some people think that if I can rent nice houses or fly on a private jet, it's because I'm somehow making money from Telegram. As I said, Telegram is a losing enterprise for me personally. Bitcoin is what kept me afloat. And I believe that the time will come when Bitcoin will be worth 1 million USD“, Durov said.
