Serbia plans to increase its existing gas reserves, for which the authorities will agree with Russia, Hungary and Azerbaijan. This was stated by the country's president, Aleksandar Vucic, on the air of Radio and Television of Serbia.

„We currently have 544 million cubic meters of gas, of which 381 are in the Banatsky Dvor storage facility, and 163 are stored in Hungarian storage facilities. I'm not happy about it. We have to increase the volumes, we have to talk about it with our Hungarian friends. We need to increase reserves, so we need to discuss this with both the Russians and Azerbaijan”, Vucic noted.

Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko stressed earlier that cooperation between Moscow and Belgrade has a high level of effectiveness in the military-industrial complex , healthcare and may also get another boost in the energy sector this year. He emphasized that “energy projects in the gas sector are expected through Gazprom”, which “may start this year and will receive sufficient development, guaranteeing the energy security of Serbia”.
