The Electrohold group joined the campaign "Become the protector of an Egyptian vulture". ERM West, part of Electrohold, provided food to one Egyptian vulture and a GPS transmitter to track it after its release into the wild.

Before being adopted by Electrohold, the bird lived in an adaptation aviary in Eastern Rhodopes. She was released into the wild on June 10. Its name will be chosen by the employees of Electrohold.

The Egyptian vulture is the smallest and the only migratory of the four vulture species found in Europe. It is a globally endangered species and is one of the fastest disappearing birds on the planet. Nowadays, the Balkan Peninsula is home to less than 60 couples. The species is famous for its intelligence. It is one of the few birds that use blades. In September, young and adult birds leave their nesting grounds and make the long journey to wintering grounds in Africa. The flight of the vulture adopted by Electrohold can be tracked thanks to the transmitter placed on the bird. This will provide valuable information about the vulture's route, behavior and preferred feeding and resting areas.

The adoption of the Egyptian vulture is part of ERM West's long-term policy of caring for the environment and protecting biological diversity. For its overall environmental policy, the company was ranked first in the competition of b2b Media “The greenest companies in Bulgaria 2024“ in the "Energy and water sector" category.
