Fibank (First Investment Bank) adds another significant element to its long-term green strategy.

From 2022, the bank has started a phased transition to the supply of electricity from renewable sources from the leading trader “Balkan Logic“ Ltd. “The Green“ current is used to cover 100% of the bank's electricity needs throughout the country.

Thus, in 2023, Fibank contributed to reducing its carbon footprint from daily activities and preventing about 8,000 tons of carbon emissions. So many emissions equal about 33 million km. (like going around the Earth about 800 times along the equator) or charging 528,133,473 smartphones.

This is another step that First Investment Bank is taking on the way to becoming a role model in terms of doing modern and sustainable business.

We remind you that in 2022, the largest bank with majority Bulgarian capital moved its headquarters to a new eco-home, uniting all its administrative units operating on the territory of a city Sofia, in a new building certified by BREEAM level “Excellent”. In addition to all the necessary amenities for the work of employees and customer service, the eleven floors of the new central building of FIB are equipped with a new generation microclimate management system with individual settings for individual offices and rooms, which also contributes to reducing emissions .

Fibank also offers a number of credit products aimed at both business and households, stimulating and supporting their transition to green energy.
