They indicate that by 23:00 the fire was under control, and the second outbreak that appeared in the pine forest has already been extinguished along the entire perimeter. Currently, the final extinguishing of single outbreaks in hard-to-reach ravines with almost vertical slopes continues.

According to the plan, teams and new volunteers are scheduled to be deployed tomorrow morning to continue treating the fire on perimeter.

The fire has affected over 140 acres of mixed forest, unforested and arable areas, as well as about 15 acres of pine forest. There was no damage to residential and auxiliary buildings in Gornoslav, the statement also said.

At the moment, there is no danger of the fire spreading to neighboring sites on the territory of the "Plama" refinery site - Pleven and nearby settlements.

No evacuation is required. This was announced to the media by the regional governor of Pleven region, Eng. Martin Machev, who is on site and coordinating the actions of the institutions.

He added that the fire that broke out in the area of the former "Plama" oil refinery is localized and under control, and there is no danger of it spreading. Currently, actions to extinguish local outbreaks are continuing.

Four teams of the Regional Directorate “Fire Safety and Population Protection“ - Pleven are working on site, with another team expected to arrive. Teams of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior - Pleven are assisting in securing the area and organizing traffic.

A mobile automatic station for measuring maximum permissible concentrations is arriving on site in order to possibly establish the presence of pollution in the atmospheric air.

The situation remains under continuous monitoring, added Machev.
