A fire of dry grass and stubble closed the road between the Panagyurishte villages of Popintsi and Levski today due to heavy smoke.
The road had to be temporarily closed, a detour route introduced and traffic redirected by the "Traffic Police".
The fire was subsequently localized by two fire engines and one operational vehicle from the fire departments in Pazardzhik and Panagyurishte.
After the fire was completely extinguished, traffic on the republican road was restored in both directions.
