„On On May 1, we will invite over 25 parties in the left spectrum, over 20 civil associations and NGOs with whom we are close ideologically – to have a discussion about modern left-wing politics and a general alternative to the status quo for governing Bulgaria. We hope to start a broad left unification”.
This was stated by BSP leader Cornelia Ninova after the meeting of the party's National Council, quoted by Nova TV.
„We managed to adopt several important decisions. We approved our platform for the European elections. It contains 6 principles and 10 specific national Bulgarian policies that will be defended by our future MEPs, added the BSP leader.
She listed the principles: "Equality of member countries; that the Bulgarian national interest is leading in the work of our MEPs; to have respect for the culture and traditions of each country; common sense in any legislative initiative; reduction and simplification of European regulations to help the Bulgarian economy; priority of social policy and the EU as an instrument of peace and security".
