With chaos in the plenary hall, the 50th National Assembly ended its work a few days ago. Deputies from "Revival" and ITN occupied the parliamentary rostrum and thus blocked the adoption of changes in the Recovery Plan in the "Energy" part.

“The complex “Mini Maritsa East“ is the only place from which Bulgaria, even when borders are closed, when there is a crisis, and when electricity prices rise, can obtain a resource through coal. That's what we saved on Thursday, not creating chaos. We have saved the complex... for now," Mihailova said.
"On the penultimate day of the work of the National Assembly, two draft decisions were submitted to the Energy Commission, which were submitted as a matter of urgency. The first is a change to the road map, which was adopted last year with the consent of the unions and workers in the "Mini Maritsa East" complex, who protested and blocked the "Thrakia" highway. The first item that entered the plenary on Thursday was an updated road map, which, however, has not been agreed with these people. It was returned to its original form, rather than what people came out to protest for," explained the MP from "Vazrazhdane".
"The second point that the parliament planned to consider is a draft decision with several points, the first of which is the adoption of the report of the Minister of Finance, in which, however, the National Assembly is required to cancel three of its decisions. From January 12, 2023, to renegotiate the plan in its "Coal Power" part. The second point was the decision in which we prohibit the disposal of the assets of "Mini Maritsa Iztok". The third decision that was proposed to be canceled is the state aid for the complex," Iskra Mihailova also pointed out.
In her words, the Speaker of the Parliament, Raya Nazaryan, violated the rules twice in connection with the quorum check and the fact that Delyan Dobrev was handed a microphone "like a singer in a nightclub" and is trying to read a report from his seat.
„Yes, maybe from “Revival“ we reacted harshly and abruptly, but since 2019 we have been fighting for these things”, Mihailova said.
