This is what the mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, said in an interview for bTV in connection with the demolition of the illegal hunting hotel near the Iskar dam, owned by Rumen Gaitanski-Valka's company.
According to the mayor, if Valka demolishes the building himself, it will save the Metropolitan Municipality over BGN 2 million.
Removal of the hunting hotel began in early April despite attempts by the Southwest State Enterprise to prevent it.
The director of hunting farm “Iskar” restricted the access of people and cars to the territory of the farm in order to “reduce the risk of premature birth of pregnant hinds”.
Then the Metropolitan Municipality removed the lock on the gate with a flex, and with a spider moved a car that was standing in front of the entrance.
A check in recent days has shown that there is no work at the site and there is a padlock on the gate again.
„The tiles are being removed from the roof and work is being done inside – systems are being downloaded. Therefore, the result of the activity is not visible. The original plan provides for the demolition of the illegal building within 3-4 months, Terziev specified.
He promised to check why there is a padlock on the gate to the building again.
„We are firmly determined to finish what we started and not just one marketing campaign remain”, the mayor said.
