1,0241 motor vehicles were checked within the framework of the ordered specialized police operation for compliance with the Road Traffic Act, the Ministry of the Interior announced.
12,194 drivers and passengers were checked. 2,816 slips and 675 acts for established administrative violations were drawn up.
An emphasis in the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have used alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers.
A total of 35 drivers who got behind the wheel after drinking alcohol were identified within the past day – 22 of them were driving after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, and 13 - with more than 1.2 per 1000, three refused testing. 13 drivers were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, six refused testing.
Thus, the total number of those who will either part with their car or pay the budget for its value is close to 60.
