The attack from the night of Saturday to Sunday it is not an attack organized in a few days - it is well planned. This is what journalist and director Sevda Shishmanova said in the bTV studio about Iran's punitive action against Israel.
„I was supposed to be in Israel right now, but events canceled my flight. I experienced a special night, with a special view of everything that happened – Iran's attack on Israel. I was like in an emotional capsule, because my flight was canceled until 4 o'clock in the morning,”, she said.
According to her, the feeling was indescribable, because she followed this attack in real time, counted every drone and experienced “all this press that was exerted on those living in Israel”.
„In the very beginning, the comments were that Iran would be careful and even respond – this will be more symbolic. An example was given with the destruction of the head of the “Quds“ years ago in Iraq when the retaliatory strike was against an American base and there were no casualties. It was assumed that they would hijack a ship or have some symbolic reaction,”, she added.
According to the journalist, what the world saw on Saturday night was not something that was planned in a few days.
„It was an attack with 170 drones and 150 cruise and ballistic missiles. It was an attack coordinated with “Hezbollah”. "Iran seemed to be sitting in the shadow of what was happening until now," she said.
Sevda Shishmanova also commented that probably behind the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, Iran is also behind it, working with its proxies “Hamas” and “Hezbollah”. According to her, Iran is positioned in a radically different way in the Middle East.
„One of the big questions is what comes next. Israel has said that it will respond to this, but I am sure that in the overall strategy for the Middle East some new platform for establishing relationships that is not short-term and at the same time inclusive of all concerned will have to be found countries. The US has experience in secret diplomacy with Iran – if I can define it that way.
However, I am not sure that this will be valid after this request that Iran gave last night. They should now be officially invited to the negotiating table”, Sevda Shishmanova also said.
