Nadezhda Neinsky on the conflict in the Middle East: The risks are more than the hopes - 1

There is a lot of talk that this is not an ordinary regional conflict, but a part from the great geopolitical restructuring of the world. This is how former foreign minister Nadezhda Neynski commented in the BNT studio on the escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran

"The conflict became apparent. It has been going on covertly for years when Iran used its proxies. "There is definitely a change in the doctrine that Iran is following, and I think it is deeply thought through," she pointed out.

If there were many casualties or major destruction, a decisive response by Israel would be absolutely inevitable, Neinsky also said.

"The risks are more than the hopes, but in spite of everything I think there is a possibility that there will be no escalation. Even the most antagonistic countries have reservations about how the conflict will develop from here on out - it depends on how Israel reacts.

According to Nadezhda Neinsky, Iran in many ways follows the strategy that Russia has towards Ukraine and the former socialist countries.

"In my opinion, Russia, as absurd as it sounds, is taking advantage of this conflict to distract the West from the war in Ukraine, but has no interest in a full-scale conflict between Israel and Iran.

In her words, a full-scale war in the Middle East would show Russia's vulnerability in the region.

"This attempt at a serious defeat in Israel showed that it is not alone at all,", she added, and indicated that Washington would not engage in a counterattack, but would not allow more strikes against Israel either.< /p>
