В the caretaker government GERB only supports Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov. This was stated by GERB leader Boyko Borisov at a meeting with party members and sympathizers from the capital's "Poduyane" district, BNR reported. Borisov insisted on changing the foreign minister:
"For General Zapryanov, I was sure that he would not budge from the NATO positions - support for Ukraine, as well as today's support for the Crimean platform, General Zapryanov performed fantastically. Unlike the foreign minister. GERB is responsible for the Minister of Defence. We bear no responsibility for the foreign minister. And if Glavchev doesn't replace him, he won't have any support. Because he changes the doctrine that the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Defense and our party had.
If acting Prime Minister Glavchev does not comply with this recommendation, “I will make him comply later”, warned Borisov. Adding that he proposed in the official office that Maria Gabriel and Asen Vassilev keep their posts:
"Even the official cabinet, so that the state does not fall apart and we are in conflicts - Maria Gabriel remains the foreign minister and he remains the finance minister. So that the two foundations - finance and foreign policy - can be kept".
In front of his sympathizers, he pointed out that it was Delyan Peevski who first proposed Hristo Ivanov, and then Atanas Slavov as Minister of Justice, in order to move the changes in the Constitution and judicial reform. That is why the PP-DB are responsible for the limited circle of persons from whom the president can choose as acting prime minister:
