Vladislav Panev: The election campaign is dirty - 1

The longer a parliament works without a clear majority, the more populist laws it adopts. This opinion was expressed by the MP from "We continue the change" - Democratic Bulgaria" Vladislav Panev in "Denyat ON AIR", commenting on the extraordinary meeting of deputies.

"The President's veto on the Investment Law should also be voted on. I don't think it is in the interest of taxpayers and investors that the state be out of control," he said.

On the occasion of the adopted ceiling of 15% overprice of bread until the end of 2024, Panev pointed out that "we are returning to the 80s and 90s".

"A populist measure", he added.

Panev predicts that the election campaign will be full of scandals, which aim to turn people away from politics.

"It is important to call on people to come out and vote on June 9, both for the European and for the Bulgarian parliament. Only in this way will the controlled vote decrease. The goal of those who inspire such scandals and fuel the fire, GERB and DPS, have an obvious interest in lower voter turnout. Taking out information in the yellow media - individual photos, interrogations of witnesses, taken out of context, is a dirty game", believes the deputy from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria".

Many cases will be brought before the end of the election campaign, as the stake is extremely high, he also pointed out.

"Today GERB and DPS do not have a majority to reject the President's veto on the Investment Law. If the dirty campaign continues, let's ask ourselves whether they won't be able to reject the president's veto in the 50th National Assembly, Panev further specified.

In his words, it is logical to introduce a package of changes at the beginning of the 50th National Assembly and specified: "Changes in the regulators, services, and let's see if we can gather a majority around such reforms.

If there is no will for such reforms, there is no point in entering into management talks, concluded Panev.
