Vanya Grigorova: Well done to Ninova for the left unification, but it is already too late for common lists - 1

Cornelia Ninova's step for a broad unification of the left is commendable, said in Kyustendil the leader of "Solidary Bulgaria" Vanya Grigorova on the occasion of the left parties and movements gathered today by the BSP leader.

"But this is done before the coalition is registered with the Central Election Commission. Now the lists have been formed, and such actions can only disappoint left-wing voters," said Vanya Grigorova. "All of us on the left realize the need to be together, but such actions, to gather people ostentatiously without any practical benefit, definitely outrage the other formations," the leader of "Solidary Bulgaria" added.

"Ninova brought together 26 left-wing parties and organizations before the last parliamentary elections in the same bogus way, as a result of which the percentages of the BSP fell below nine," said Manolova, leader of "Stand Up Bulgaria". "While Ninova is the chairman of the big party on the left, and Borisov – of the great party on the right, there will be no unification of either the left or the right. This is not because of the personal problem, but because of the leader's moods and the making of individual decisions", added Manolova.

The pre-election tour of "Solidary Bulgaria" started today from Kyustendil. It was started by the chairman of the coalition Vanya Grigorova, Maya Manolova - leader of "Stand Up Bulgaria" and the leader of the lists for the early parliamentary elections in Kyustendil, Milena Georgieva. The municipal councilors of "Stand Up Bulgaria", activists of the organization, which in Kyustendil, on Labor Day, celebrated two years since its establishment, participated in the opening of the campaign.

"The protection of 700,000 working poor is important to us, because for us these are people who not only cannot provide themselves with an Easter meal, but suffer hardships because of the low remuneration," said Maya Manolova. She pointed out that out of the BGN 933 minimum wage, these people actually receive BGN 700 "pure money". "That's why one of our causes is to make the minimum wage chase the living wage and fight for a tax-free minimum. Monopolies and the fight against them is another cause of ours. We will demand that banks, retail chains, large corporations, telecoms and energy companies be taxed for their excess profits, which should be accumulated in a "Solidarity" fund to support vulnerable groups, Maya Manolova added.

"You probably remember that employers tried to cancel the first three days of sick leave they cover. We stopped this outrage, but this year, with the last state budget, employers were relieved of one day of those three. It is covered by our insurances. This is how we allowed maternity to be frozen at the level of BGN 780. Therefore, the representatives of the workers must be there – in the Parliament to watch out for the outrages that are being prepared for them, paid by the business lobbyists, so that the workers are the ones who pay for all the crises. We will be the ones who will defend these interests in the National Assembly", Vanya Grigorova pointed out.

Grigorova added that their goal will be to stop the draining of the pension insurance and health systems to parasitic structures, "as is currently happening".

In Kyustendil, the leader of the party "Solidary Bulgaria" was also presented. Milena Georgieva is a lawyer by profession, 37 years old, with a six-year-old child. Lives and works in Kyustendil. "I am happy to be part of the team of strong women," said Georgieva.
