The Chairman of the Health Committee in the 49th National Assembly and former Minister of Health in the period July 24, 2020 – May 12, 2021 Prof. Kostadin Angelov defended his reputation after a media publication in which his name was involved, reported by "Focus". According to him, the timing of the attack on his personality is also important, as it is happening during the already launched election campaign. He himself is the leader of the leaves in the 4th MIR Veliko Tarnovo.
This is what the former health minister wrote on the social network:
"I am disappointed and extremely bitter about an article against me in a supposedly authoritative publication. Absolute lies have been written against me.
Neither have I ever had the idea of purchasing portable devices for outpatient care, nor have I ever started such a procedure! The purchase of these x-rays began with Stoycho Katsarov. This is the truth.
I know that we are in an election campaign and I understand that especially in this period, all of us from GERB will be mean and mean to the supposedly authoritative publication in question.
But please, when you attack me and think of labeling me, at least ask me and ask your questions to make the article look even more authoritative.
I don't understand journalism, but I believe that it is a human duty to give the other side the right to present their position and thesis,' wrote Prof. Angelov.
