Nearly 25,000 high school students are expected to take a second compulsory matriculation exam in a profiling subject today, and about 21,000 take a state exam to acquire a professional qualification. This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES), BTA reported.
Most high-school graduates - nearly 13,000 - chose to test their knowledge of the English language. There is considerable interest in geography and economics, and in biology and health education. This year, 1,383 students chose mathematics. There are more than 1000 people in the philosophy and entrepreneurship exams.
7763 quaestors will be involved in the exams.
Nearly half of those who wish to take a profession exam will defend a diploma project, while others will develop an exam topic on the theory of the profession or solve a test on the theory of the profession.
The beginning of matriculation and the state exam for acquiring a professional qualification is at 8:30 a.m.
46,923 twelfth-graders appeared for the final exam in Bulgarian language and literature, which was held on May 17, the Ministry of Education and Culture announced.
