The candidate deputies and leaders of lists of "Solidary Bulgaria" Maya Manolova, Vanya Grigorova and Georgi Kadiev went today to the dismantled Monument to the Soviet Army and since they couldn't get close to it because of the blockades, they stuck red roses on the fence and wrote with red spray paint "There will be a monument here again", reported " ;Diary".
"There will be a Monument to the Soviet Army here again, and there will be responsibility for all those who tried to insult it, cut it with flex, destroy it. They will restore it again. With all the legal means, we will force them to restore it again, to put it on the pedestal, from where they removed it illegally, against the will of the Bulgarian people and spending the state's money", declared Maya Manolova in front of the fence.
There have been fences around the monument for months, and after the figures were removed from the monument, they were moved to a warehouse in the village of Lozen and are still there waiting to be restored. The restoration will cost about BGN 2.5 million.
