North Macedonia elected its first female president, along with that in power after seven years in opposition, returns to government and the nationalist party VMRO-DPMNE with a convincing victory.
According to journalist Nikolay Krastev, relations between Bulgaria and North Macedonia will be very complicated. “The way in which what was achieved in the French proposal of the European Union is denied, only portends problems between Sofia and Skopje,”, he said.
„The big historical question is whether, with this victory, North Macedonia did not take a big break in its Euro-Atlantic integration from now on. Because the upcoming administration will not bring any political stability to the country. European integration will not continue, I dare to say that after everything I have heard, Krastev pointed out.
„The first to congratulate the new rulers were the President of Serbia and the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, who had just welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping in Budapest,”, the journalist emphasized.
