The police in Sofia detained a 61-year-old Czech citizen, declared an international wanted, the Ministry of the Interior announced.
The arrest of the man was carried out within the framework of a specialized police operation by officers from the “Search“ in the DG "National Police", implemented yesterday. The foreign citizen was located and detained on the territory of a large shopping center in Sofia.
He is wanted by the Czech authorities in connection with criminal proceedings for rape and fornication against children committed in the territory of Rakovnik region.
The 61-year-old man has been declared an international wanted man and a European arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest by the District Court in the city of Rakovnik, Czech Republic.
In this case, the DMOS-MIA and the competent prosecutor's office have been notified to take follow-up actions in connection with the European arrest warrant imposed on the man.
