Georgi Gvozdeikov: Paper tickets for the BDZ will be abolished, the evolution and development in the world is going that way - 1

I want to apologize to all citizens who use the BDZ, because the renovation that began at the Central Station provoked these difficulties in the regulation of movement and traffic to Northern Bulgaria. The first days, the delays were about 3 hours. Today, things are normalizing, the delays are about 18 minutes at most. I have the intention that by Monday the situation will be completely normalized", explained the official Minister of Transport.

This was stated by the acting transport minister Georgi Gvozdeikov in the BNT studio.

In his words, in order to prevent similar problems in the future, a reorganization of the traffic will be done.

"Trains with few passengers will be reduced, the number of trains will be optimized. I will get a report on Monday to slow down the repair process. The repair will last more than a year", Georgi Gvozdeikov also said.

Georgi Gvozdeikov explained the increase in train ticket prices by saying that this way this type of transport can develop and modernize. He confirmed that the price increase is up to 20%.

"We are persistently moving towards digitization. One of the goals we have set is to eliminate the paper tickets for BDZ, the evolution and development in the world, it is going that way. This digitization includes the possibility that everyone can buy a ticket through their own online banking, application, vending machine at stations, etc., Gvozdeikov specified.

He also commented on the new reorganization of the "Patriarch Euthymius" boulevards. and "Vitosha" in Sofia, like this:

"In my opinion, the new rules for parking in the center of Sofia are not a problem, it is good that cyclists are being given the opportunity to make a complete tour of the city. The important condition is that there are enough parking spaces", the acting transport minister also said.

Georgi Gvozdeikov stated that there will soon be a third bridge over the Danube.

"At the end of the year, Bulgaria and Romania were approved by the European Commission for its construction. The pre-project financing and research has been approved.
