In the next hours, a deterioration of the weather is expected in the high parts of the mountains , warn the Mountain Rescue Service. The forecast is for rain, reported Yavor Karolev, on duty at the central 24-hour post of the Service, quoted by BNR.
"Fronts in the mountains come faster than in the lower parts, so people should aim to come down from the high parts in the early afternoon, even at noon. There is still snow cover in the higher parts of the mountain. Where there are sleepers, one must be extremely careful when crossing them, because it is slippery. The temperatures are high, the snow is very soft and predisposes to slipping," Karolev pointed out.
Thunderstorms have already formed over Eastern Bulgaria, with more significant precipitation near Nova Zagora, Karnobat and north of Burgas. Storms also formed in Targovishte, reported "Meteo Balkan".
Over western, central and southern Bulgaria, powerful cumulonimbus clouds will also develop, with precipitation and thunder expected. There will be conditions for hail and significant amounts of precipitation! A light to moderate northwesterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at a height of 1200 meters will be about 18°C, at 2000 meters - about 8°C.
