The Ministry of Electronic Management (MEU), the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology (BIM) and the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BIS) certified the compliance of technical devices for machine voting, the ministry announced.
The report on assessing the compliance of the delivered type of technical device for machine voting with the requirements of the Electoral Code and the technical specification, as well as the certification decision, have been sent to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
Earlier today, the CEC carried out the entrusted development of the software that will be installed on the voting machines for the upcoming June 9, 2024 elections for members of the European Parliament from the Republic of Bulgaria and for people's representatives.
The build took place in a controlled environment provided by the Ministry of e-Governance. Representatives of parties, coalitions and non-governmental organizations were also present during the procedure. The process was also monitored by specialists of the "National Security" State Agency.
