Vanya Grigorova: We will change the management agenda, in which the problems of working people are absent - 1

We are not looking for a way to ministerial seats. We have a higher goal - to change the management agenda, in which the problems of working people are currently absent. This was stated by Vanya Grigorova, leader of the "Solidary Bulgaria" Coalition. and leader of the lists in 25 MIR and for the European Parliament for the elections on June 9.

"You saw that this happened in the Metropolitan Municipality when I joined the municipal council. And now even a millionaire mayor is already talking about labor remuneration, although this was in no way his pre-election priority, commented Vanya Grigorova on the air of BNT. - We will do the same in the National Assembly. Once we change his agenda, the status quo will crack. And if something starts to crack, sooner or later it will collapse".

The leader of the Coalition "Solidary Bulgaria" noted that they are already changing the topics in the election campaign. "Suddenly, other political forces were talking about the people, about the problems of the working people, although at first they mocked my words about the 'little man,'" she added. "This is how change happens - first they make fun of you, then they start imitating you, finally you beat them."

According to Vanya Grigorova, increasing the well-being of the working person is the key to the progress of the entire economy. "The stability of the health and pension systems, as well as all other public systems that are the basis of statehood, depends on whether working people will continue to realize themselves in Bulgaria, she commented. - When the working person feels good in his country, he does not leave it – this is also how a demographic crisis is fought, not as suggested by some "pseudo-patriots" – "to make the Bulgarian woman give birth".

Vanya Grigorova once again declared herself in favor of changing the social security system in the direction of increasing the maximum insurance threshold for the highest incomes, so that more funds would flow into the pension system. It is also for the reform of the pension model in its part for mandatory private funds, into which part of the pension contributions of the workers go. According to her, these funds should not be mandatory, but entirely voluntary. "Last year, over 2 billion BGN from the Bulgarian workers were redirected to them. And from September 2021, when they began to pay pensions, until the end of 2023, only 65 people received from them a pension comparable to that of the National Insurance Institute, that is, – for life and without any conditions, she noted. - Is it normal that we continue to redirect a huge financial resource to companies that guarantee their profits, but cannot guarantee decent pensions for the insured.

Vanya Grigorova did not hide her anxiety about the fact that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is coming to Sofia to rattle weapons. "I think he's in the wrong place, she said. - His call to allow Ukraine to shell the territory of Russia with weapons supplied to it from the West does not meet Bulgarian interests.

We are disturbed by the words of the Acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov before the parliamentary assembly of the pact that Bulgaria fully supports the expansion and strengthening of NATO's presence in the Black Sea.

The Chairman of the Coalition "Solidary Bulgaria" recalled the words of GERB leader Boyko Borisov from a few years ago, that he wanted sailboats and yachts to swim in the Black Sea, tourists to walk on the beaches, not frigates to walk. "Let Borisov now take responsibility for the words of his acting military minister," she said. - The Bulgarian side cannot accept Stoltenberg's calls with tacit consent, which aim to escalate the military conflict, move it even further away from a possible diplomatic solution, and appear to be the penultimate step before NATO's direct involvement in the war. In this regard, isn't it time to say it openly: "Not a single Bulgarian soldier on the Eastern Front!". I think all of this needs to be talked about now, before it's too late. Because, among other things, the upcoming vote will also be a choice between two conditional "parties" – of peace and war. The place of Coalition "Solidary Bulgaria" is in the Peace Party. To the Party of War I refer GERB, PP-DB, and recently DPS - that is, the entire assembly that has ruled so far in all its "loveliness". I hope people think about this issue before they vote, so that it does not turn out that one of the most peace-loving nations in Europe has once again chosen to be ruled by the War Party.
