Egg-sized hailstones hit Sevlievsko.
Larger chunks of ice were reported in the villages of Gorna Rositsa, Sennik, Petko Slaveikov. Locally, a large hailstone the size of an egg hit near the village of Yavorets.
Following the hailstorm that fell this afternoon in the Sevlievo region, farmers' vegetable crops were damaged, there is no information about injured people and property, the mayor of Sevlievo, Dr. Ivan Ivanov, told BTA.
He added that the second hail of the day was the size of a 2 BGN coin, and there were reports of damaged plantations in the area of the village of Sennik. In the Municipality of Sevlievo, there were no reports of damage or injured people. There is information about fallen trees that were promptly removed.
This is the second storm to pass through the area in just 24 hours. After yesterday's there was serious crop damage and fallen trees. Populated places in the Lovech region were without electricity for more than 20 hours.
