They fired the chief architect of Varna illegally

The dismissed chief architect of the Municipality of Varna Viktor Buzev has been reinstated.

The Supreme Administrative Court ruled that his dismissal was unlawful. This court decision confirms the decision of the Varna Administrative Court and is final.

The decision also states that the municipality must pay the costs of the case in the amount of BGN 1,000, reports BNT. We remind you that in April 2023, the then mayor of Varna, Ivan Portnik, demanded the resignation of the chief architect because of the placement of movable objects in the "Horizon" complex.

After Viktor Buzev refused to submit it, he was fired and disciplinary proceedings were initiated against him. Illegal actions and a lack of vision for the development of the city were cited as the reason for Buzev's removal.

Architect Buzev appealed the mayor's order, and after the court ruled in his favor, the municipal administration in turn appealed the decision to return him. After the final verdict, the reactions of both parties are expected.
