The joint management with GERB removed the support for us. The same applies to the changes in the Constitution - many people did not understand that they needed a large majority, that's why we need more votes. Manuela Maleeva would be an ideal candidate for DB leader, but I don't think she wants to. We can govern if we are the first political force. This was stated before "Offensive with Ljubo Ognyanov" Kaloyan Yankov from club "Ninth of December" in "Yes, Bulgaria".

In his words, DB has no way of not passing the 4% barrier even if it is not in a coalition with PP. "Some people don't vote for us because we are with "Change". The right-wing voter wants a balanced budget, a reduction in the role of the state in the economy, as well as stock market privatization for state-owned companies-cassettes. And we are under the umbrella of a larger political party, which rather pulls to the left", he thinks.

The politician defined the previous administration as a mistake. "We entered quicksand in which we sank. It should have been clearly spelled out from day 1 who is responsible for what. That was PP's condition - obviously wrong. In every loss one can find something good, I am glad that Hristo Ivanov did this. The resignation is a dignified and timely act. Politically speaking, we have a serious outflow of voters, and we do not have our own core, we fight for voters every time. Those who have given up, we don't know if they will return," commented Yankov.

According to him, the next leader of DB should be motivating, unifying and different from the previous one. "We need a new face, we are turning a new page, because Ivanov has been our leader since our creation. The division in the party was supported by the leadership, so now we need a unifier", he pointed out.
