GERB-SDS held consultations to form a government under the president.
After the meeting, the leader of the party, Boyko Borisov, was adamant that a government can only happen with the first mandate. "Our voters, when they ordered us before others, did not want to receive Denkov again. We bear the responsibility and will offer a minority government. It would be more if I were prime minister for a fourth term, but I will most likely take the folder from the president, coming with our candidate for prime minister. Let's calm down, we have 1-2 weeks to think, the elections are a decision, but a bad one," he explained, quoted by Nova TV. And he defined as extremely unstable the possible support of GERB-SDS for the mandate of the penultimate party - ITN.
Before the consultations, Boyko Borisov announced that "in practice there is no way to form a government". He pointed out that the parties are behaving pre-election.
