The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in constant contact with the Bulgarians who sought assistance to return from Lebanon - 1

Ministry The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is in constant contact with Bulgarian citizens and their family members who have expressed a desire to receive assistance for their return to Bulgaria through the Bulgarian Embassy in Beirut and through the “Situation Center” Directorate. This was announced by the press center of the ministry, quoted by BTA.

At the moment, various possibilities are being explored to ensure suitable options for their safe departure from the country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds that, in case of need for assistance, Bulgarian citizens in Lebanon can contact the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Beirut, at the following number: +961 5 453 658, as well as emergency phone numbers in non-working hours: +961 81 302 552; +961 76 697 766. Reports can also be submitted to the email address of the Consular Service at the Embassy: [email protected].

Signals and requests for assistance in disaster situations from Bulgarian citizens are also accepted 24/7 on the telephone lines of the "Situation Center" Directorate: +359 2 948 24 04; +359 2 971 38 56 or by email: [email protected].

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also recommends that Bulgarian citizens, when traveling, temporarily or permanently residing abroad, take advantage of the opportunity to register in the column "I am traveling for…” at the following address: https://mfa.bg/bg/embassyinfo.

Earlier today, the department called on Bulgarian citizens to suspend all trips to Lebanon and to leave the country immediately in connection with “the serious escalation of hostilities in Lebanon in recent hours”.
