With the start of the summer season, the joint inspections of the Ministry of Tourism began. Consumer Protection Commission (CCP) and Economic Police.
During these inspections, the Ministry of Tourism found 4 violations, for which acts were drawn up, Ivan Videlov from the department told bTV.
The violations identified by the ministry are expressed in the placement of paid beach accessories, not unguarded beaches. “In a way, they have been turned into private beaches,”, Videlov specified.
Together with the KZP, the ministry is also investigating the unfair practice of forcing vacationers to rent a set of umbrella, sunbed, and table. People have the right to rent them separately, the inspectors remind.
The activity of lifeguards on protected beaches is also checked.
„I have an appeal to tourists – when there is a red flag, not to enter the sea. Conflicts are created between them and the rescuers”, commented Ivan Videlov.
Inspections will continue throughout the summer season.
