Viktor Dimchev: GERB must get us out of the tragic state in which the "change" brought us - 1

It is significantly more likely that there will be a cabinet, since the country is in a state in which, both internationally and domestically, it is clear that it cannot continue like this any longer. There is pressure from all sides to form a government and support it in one way or another. How exactly it will happen, what will be the methodology by which the parties in the parliament will agree to support this temporary government - we have yet to learn. But I suspect it will be in the good old way with absence, presence, with a "golden finger".

This is what he told "Focus" the political analyst Viktor Dimchev.

It is possible that the MPs will only support Rosen Zhelyazkov for prime minister, but not support the composition of the draft cabinet.

"It is possible to happen, anything is possible to happen in parliament, but there is a clear horizon that there is a pre-arrangement that has been made to happen to have a cabinet, which is going to be extremely difficult, no think something will happen easily or suddenly all MPs will change their minds. Rather, I expect a conditional support from a part of the deputies and at least two of the political formations in the person of “Majesty" and ITN to make some moves in which some of their deputies support in one way or another this new Bulgarian cabinet, which may prove to be decisively important for Bulgaria not to miss the last train to enter the Eurozone and Schengen next year. Otherwise, we run the risk of this happening after the war in Ukraine, which won't happen in the next few years," he also commented.

Victor Dimchev expressed the opinion that in GERB there is no fear of new elections, but rather a concern. "Because so many disasters have been done in the country in the last few years by the so-called "Change", which actually robbed Bulgaria and ruined the state's budget. To the extent that we currently have to return 100, 200, 300 million almost daily to the European Union... We return every other day, every other day, either from the Recovery Plan or from the structural funds, or from some other program that we have installed.

The reason for this is that those people who take it upon themselves to do this thing, some of whom you have listed, actually have a very difficult task to manage to do something, anything, to make the tragic a little bit better the state of state finances and the organization of public life in Bulgaria. It seems to me that they are risking too much with their policy, and that is where Borisov's concern comes from, rather than whether he wants to rule or not. Every politician wants his party to rule and control the country", he was categorical.

"There is rather a feeling in the parliamentary groups that something like a semi-official government should be appointed by GERB. In this sense, Mr. Zhelyazkov, who is known as a compromise figure and has proven himself as a professional in his role as Speaker of the National Assembly, is perhaps the figure who can continue the course that Dimitar Glavchev indicated, namely that the government seeks to solve pressing problems and run away from conflicts, rather than creating and generating them at the political level, as we were used to under Asen and Kirill's rule," said the political analyst.
