PP-DB: The official cabinet had preliminary information that there would be no regular government

The Council of Ministers with Acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev at the head replaced regional governors of GERB with those from DPS hours before the failure of the “Rosen Zhelyazkov” cabinet. Representatives of PP-DB stated this at a briefing on the sidelines of the National Assembly and defined what happened as extremely scandalous, reports from the press center of the formation.
“Obviously, a theater is playing out in front of us, because as soon as the Council of Ministers changes regional governors on the day when a regular cabinet should be elected, then they had prior information that a government would not be elected”, said Stella Nikolova from the "Yes, Bulgaria" quota. She asked rhetorically why everywhere in the mixed regions the regional governors were replaced by DPS people. Nikolova also raised the alarm about an unprecedented incident with the new regional governor of Razgrad, Sevdjan Sadkeev.
“A person who is on the Supervisory Board of a state agency and has not been released by the National Assembly cannot be appointed as a regional governor. At the moment, does Mr. Sudkeev work 4 hours as a regional governor and 4 hours in the agency?” Nikolova asked.
The former Minister of Economy, Bogdan Bogdanov, emphasized that the status quo is once again acting very coordinated at all levels, and political disintegration is observed in the plenary hall.
“The main problem is that all the changes at the moment, including regional governors, are with people who are very close to Delyan Peevski. This is a clear indication that the talks about forming a government are most likely a screen through which they want us to watch a circus in the parliament while they prepare for the next elections, Bogdanov analyzed. According to him, the ultimate goal is the final conquest of the state and institutions.
“We also see it in key ministries, where people appointed with competitions are released in order to appoint people without competition and qualifications. The latest such example is in the regional administration of Plovdiv, where a highly compromised person has been appointed as the chief secretary, with charges brought by the prosecutor's office for misappropriation of over BGN 2.5 million, Bogdanov pointed out.
“Extremely worrying is the tendency in the “Security” sector, which is highly sensitive and directly involved in protecting national security, to carry out unmotivated personnel changes, which are essentially not the work of the caretaker government, and that after the exhaustion of its main function, namely organizing and holding elections,”, concluded Katya Paneva.
