I categorically state that today I voted AGAINST, not "abstained" at today's meeting of the National Assembly, at which the "Zhelyazkov" project cabinet is voted on. This is what DPS deputy Jeyhan Ibryamov wrote on his Facebook profile, quoted by "Focus".
"My vote is in accordance with the decision of the honorary chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Dr. Ahmed Dogan, the DPS parliamentary group not to support the GERB-SDS cabinet and prime minister. >
"I have notified the office of the Speaker of the National Assembly with an official letter that my vote was reflected incorrectly. I received the assurance that my vote will be accurately reflected in the transcript of the meeting," he also wrote.
Rosen Zhelyazkov did not get the necessary votes to be prime minister. He was supported by 98 deputies - the entire GERB-SDS group and 30 from the DPS.
138 voted "against", as together with PP-DB, "Vazrazhdane", BSP, ITN, "Velichie" both independents, the red button pressed and 14 from DPS. Two were "abstained" - 1 from DPS and 1 from PP-DB.
