Peevski and his people will be forced to leave the DPS - there is already a total division in this party. This is what Güner Tahir, chairman of the "National Movement for Rights and Freedoms" (NDPS), said in the program "This Morning". “It is no coincidence that my former colleague from the SDF parliamentary group Yordan Tsonev stated that they will “leave on their own”. I don't even know what this means, even though I graduated in "Bulgarian Philology", he explained.
Güner Tahir believes that both sides lose from this dispute. “There is a movement in recent days that is only in support of Ahmed Dogan, anyway this party is already split, there are already two camps in it,“, Tahir also thinks.
He specified that the two co-presidents – Delyan Peevski and Cevdet Chakarov, as well as the honorary chairman Ahmed Dogan can convene the Central Council.
„At the moment, none of them are taking this initiative because there is complete parity on the Central Council. Everyone is waiting for a better time. I think it will come in about two or three weeks, when Dogan's supporters will be more than Peevski's, Guner Tahir thinks.
According to him, then the Central Council of DPS will be convened, because only this body can schedule a new National Conference if it is necessary
The chairman of NDPS made a prediction about who will lead the party after Delyan Peevski.
„I think it will not be Jevdet Chakarov, because if I were Ahmed Dogan, I would judge that this person failed to show opportunities to manage this party. However, I think that he will not put a completely new and unknown person at the helm,”, the chairman of the National Road Transport and Highways is categorical.
In his words, one of the options is for the mayor of Kardzhali to head the party, and the other – this post to be taken over by MEP Ilhan Kyuchuk.
