Since the beginning of the month, 49 people have died as a result of road accidents and 780 have been injured. Today around 10:00 a.m. at km 179 of the “Trakia“ a motorcyclist and his female passenger were killed. On the same date, but last year again on AM “Thrace“ another motorcyclist died again near Stara Zagora. The increase in road accidents involving motorcyclists during the summer season is alarming.
This is what he wrote on "Facebook" Diana Rusinova.
If you get around on a motorcycle, you already know how much fun riding can be. You understand the thrill of riding on the open road and the challenge of riding a bike. But riding a motorcycle can also be dangerous. For every kilometer traveled in 2022, motorcyclists were about 22 times more likely to die in a crash than car passengers and 4 times more likely to be injured. Riding a motorcycle safely requires balance, coordination and good judgment.
Achieving safe driving requires the cooperation of all road users. Only in this way can we help reduce the number of road deaths and injuries in our country.
However, it is especially important for drivers to understand motorcyclist safety challenges, such as size and visibility, as well as motorcycle riding practices, such as slowing and maneuvering, so they know how to anticipate and respond to them. By increasing the awareness of motorists, both drivers and motorcyclists will be safer on the road.
